DJ Khaled - Suffering From Success (Album Review)

Khaled is back with his 7th album, Suffering From Success. I usually like about six or seven songs from each of his albums, except for Victory and We The Best Forever, which I wasn't really feeling. If Khaled did more beats on his albums, people probably wouldn't criticize him as much. Because he rarely produces and doesn't rap, he just puts the collabs together. He did do some co-producing on five songs though, other producers on here are J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Lee On the Beats, Boi-1da, 40, Young Chop, Timbaland, DJ Nasty, LVM and many more. Anyway the album starts off with Obama (Winning More Interlude), which is audio of the Pres when he came out to Khaleds All I Do Win song. Suffering From Success has some some typical songs, but also has some gems on it, For instance, J. Cole & Bas shine on Hells Kitchen, Cole gives you that Friday Night Lights mixape feel, and his artist Bas held it down as well.

Never Surrender is a gem, Scarface, whos been on a roll this year, schools you with his OG knowledge, he spits Gotta be careful who you trusting Be aware of your surrounding when you hustling/ Them niggas smiling at you ain't your friends, dawg, also check out his verses and Nores -What I Had To and French Montanas - Fuck What Happens Tonight, Jadakiss comes through with a dope verse as always You know when it's someone you love the hurt's pure You front tryna hold it in, it hurts more and Meek held his own. John legend, Anthony Hamilton and Akon bring that soul to the track. Lil Wayne sounded focused on No Motive, but Khaleds hook wasn't really need. Black Ghost by Vado was cool too.

I'm Still featuring Chris Brown, Ace Hood, Wiz Khalifa & Wale is about not let letting haters stop you from winning, even Khaled rapped a little bit on it. The downside on the album is the title track, Suffering From Success with Ace Hood and Future. I Feel Like Pac/I Feel Like Biggie couldn't even be saved by TIs verse, because he was the only who stayed on topic and used Biggie and Pac references. I Wanna Be With You featuring Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross & Future  was even kinda weak. The dance-hall joint, Give It All To Me was decent, but Nicki's verse sounded the same as usual when she raps on a dance-hall track. Besides the mentioned songs, Suffering From Success is predictable and having the usual suspects featured too much didn't help either.
