There was some controversy with the album cover because he has Jesus dressed up as a gang banger. Game knew what he was doing, it was a marketing ploy at its finest. Now on to the review, "Scared Now" featuring Meek Mill, and "Ali Bomaye" featuring 2 Chainz & Rick Ross have a Southern feel to them, so the featured artist didn't feel out place. They are also produced by Black Metaphor. The King Chip & Trey Songz featured "Church" is basically a strip club song. "Celebration" featuring Chris Brown, Tyga, Lil Wayne & Wiz Khalifa samples Bone Thugs' classic "1st of tha Month". A lot of people actually hated that song, but I enjoyed it.
"I Remember" featuring Young Jeezy & Future was originally Tygas song and appeared on his "Well Done 3" mixtape but for some reason hes not on this version. "All That (Lady)" featuring Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Fabolous & Jeremih is smooth joint for the ladies and its a remake of D'Angelo' classic "Lady". The title track "Jesus Piece" featuring Kanye West & Common is dope, Common has a verse but Kanye just says a few words on the hook, but don't worry cause Game does his best Kanye impression. Other standouts are "Hallelujah" featuring Jamie Foxx and "See No Evil" featuring Kendrick Lamar & Tank, "Pray" featuring J. Cole & JMSN, "Heaven's Arms" and "Name Me King" featuring Pusha-T.
I know y'all wanna know did he name drop on here? Of course he did, Kanye, Nas, Jay, Kendrick, Dr. Dre, 2 Pac, 50 and Biggie get mentioned 3 or more times. Another question y'all most likely wanna know is did he mimic other rappers flows? Yes he did, matter of fact he does almost the whole album, maybe except for like two songs. It is very annoying, but he's been doing that for years so it shouldn't surprise you. Overall Jesus piece is a step up from The R.E.D. Album but its only for Game fans, everybody else just stay away. The production is dope, Cool & Dre, Jake One, Boi-1da and The Maven Boys, etc provide Game with heat and the features held their own.
